RNA-seq Analysis of Solanesol Biosynthesis Genes in Nicotiana tabacum
Solanesol is a noncyclic terpene alcohol composed of nine isoprene units and it mainly accumulates in solanaceous plants, especially tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.). Here, RNA-seq analyses of tobacco leaves, stems, and roots were used to identify solanesol biosynthesis genes. Six 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate synthase, two 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate reductoisomerase, two 2-C-methyl-D-erythr...
متن کاملRNA-seq analysis for secondary metabolite pathway gene discovery in Polygonum minus
Polygonum minus plant is rich in secondary metabolites, especially terpenoids and flavonoids. Present study generates transcriptome resource for P. minus to decipher its secondary metabolite biosynthesis pathways. Raw reads and the transcriptome assembly project have been deposited at GenBank under the accessions SRX313492 (root) and SRX669305 (leaf) respectively.
متن کاملChemical extraction of indigo from Indigofera tinctoria while attaining biological integrity
Indigofera tinctoria was permeabilized with 20% methanol (v/v) at 25 ◦C and released 8 ± 2 μg indigo g−1 dry plant material (excluding roots). This is equivalent to 42 ± 11% of the total indican within the cells. The plants began to recover after 2 weeks.
متن کاملPhytochemical Investivations of Indigofera Tinctoria Linn Leaves
Studies of Indigofera tinctoria Linn has shows that it possesses low toxicity. Phytochemical evaluation of leaf extract of Indigofera tinctoria Linn has been carried out to characterize some constituents present therein. Qualitative analysis of the extracts showed the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides, terpenoids. Five compounds have been isolated from petroleum ether extract and me...
متن کاملChemical composition, antioxidant and anticancer effects of the seeds and leaves of indigo (Polygonum tinctorium Ait.) plant.
Seeds and leaves of indigo (Polygonum tinctorium Ait.) plant were investigated and compared with another medicinal plant named prolipid for their properties such as chemical composition, antioxidant, and anticancer effects by Fourier transform infrared, three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy, and electrospray ionization-MS in negative mode. It was found that polyphenols, flavonoids, and fl...
